1. How do I find my districts/races? To find your districts, Click Here and fill in the appropriate information.
2. Where can I vote? Polling locations can be found in two places: Your local newspaper (Most Texas newspapers publish the polling locations prior to every election.) or by calling the person that handles the Election Duties in your county to find the polling locations. If you have your voter registration certificate, it will list your precinct number. When you call, tell the person that answers the phone your precinct number to find out where your polling place is located. ***During Early Voting, you are allowed to vote at any polling location within the county. On Election Day, you are required to vote in your local precinct.
3. What is the deadline for registering to vote? You must register 30 days prior to the election date to be eligible to vote. For the 2008 Primary Election, it is February 4, 2008 (29th day before Primary Election Day).
4. How do I register to vote? The process is simple and all it takes is 3-Easy Steps! 1. Request a Voter Registration Card by Clicking Here. 2. Fill it out, and mail to your Registrar of Voters County Courthouse. Click Here to Find Your County Registration Official. 3. Remember to Vote in the Primary Election on March 4, 2008!
5. How can I be sure that I am registered to vote or if I am on the voter rolls in the county where I reside? To inquire about the status of your voter registration, call the voter registrar's office in the county in which you reside. To find the number, Click Here and scroll to your county.
6. Does the FMF Voters’ Guide cover local elections? No, Free Market Foundation’s Voters’ Guides only cover statewide and federal offices up for election. We are unable to cover all local elections due to time, production costs and staff.
7. Can FMF tell me who to vote for? According to the 501(c)(3) non-profit status, Free Market is not able to tell you who to vote for nor endorse any candidates.
