2008 Annual Houston Luncheon

Tuesday, November 18, 2008
12:00-1:00 p.m.
Westin Oaks Hotel
5011 Westheimer
Houston, TX 77077

Master of Ceremonies –
Texas Senator, Dan Patrick of Houston.

You'll hear powerful testimonies from real people, comments from President Kelly Shackelford and learn about the latest attacks on our faith, families, and freedoms and how Free Market is countering these vicious attacks. You will also find out how to make a difference in our great state for our families and freedoms!

Like many of you have in the past, please commit to simply fill a table of 10 (friends/family members/associates) at this upcoming one-hour-only luncheon. All you have to do is invite people you think would be interested in us. (A reminder: this luncheon is free of cost to Table Captains and their guests.) Our goal is to have 500 – 600 people in attendance!

E-mail Sarah at scrawford@freemarket.org or call  972-423-8889  ext. 101 for more information.

Dan Murphy – Featured Speaker (by Video)

Dan Murphy, pictured here with President Bush, accepted the Congressional Medal of Honor on behalf of his son, Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a United States Navy SEAL, who died protecting his Navy SEAL team in combat in Afghanistan . Dan is a Vietnam veteran, a recipient of the Purple Heart, and now serves as the National Judge Advocate for the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Dan is now fighting alongside Free Market Foundation in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court to protect Veteran’s Memorials, like those already erected on behalf of his son. His testimony and the details of his work with FMF is something you don’t want to miss.

The Davis Family – Featured Speakers

Joseph Davis II was born with sickle-cell anemia. For over a year, his family could not find a cure for his disease. After years of prayer, Darlene and Joseph Sr. gave birth to a second son, Isaac Davis, and he was a perfect adult stem cell and cord blood donor match. After a successful transplant procedure, Joseph Davis II was healed of sickle-cell anemia.

“I think Isaac, my little brother, is like ‘Superman.’ He saved my life with his cord blood,” says Joseph.

Joseph Davis II, along with his family and with the assistance of Free Market Foundation, testified before the Texas House about how adult stem cells can cure diseases and save lives without creating and destroying embryos. They will share their incredible story.
